Privacy, in plain language

Your group stays private.

ShuffleCue is designed so that you can use its activity tools without creating an account. This page explains what stays on your device, what may be collected when other services are enabled, and the choices you have.

The short version

Names, attributes, tasks, groups, teams, and results are processed in your browser. ShuffleCue does not require an account to use the tools.

You stay in control

You can clear saved information through ShuffleCue or by clearing this site's browser data.

Information used by the tools

When you enter names, attributes, ratings, tasks, group names, or other activity details, ShuffleCue processes that information on your device. The shared roster and your latest workspace can be saved in your browser so that a refresh does not erase your work.

Please use first names, initials, or another classroom-safe identifier when possible. Do not enter sensitive student records, health information, passwords, or financial details.

Contact messages

If you send a message through the Contact page, we receive the name, email address, topic, and message you provide. These messages are stored in a private Google Sheet. We use them to respond, investigate problems, consider requests, and manage relevant partnership enquiries.

We keep contact messages only for as long as they are useful for those purposes or required for legitimate record keeping.

Browser storage, analytics, and advertising

ShuffleCue uses browser storage to remember your roster, tool settings, dismissed interface notices, and privacy choice. This information remains on the device and browser you used.

Google Analytics 4 is available only after you select Accept or enable it under Manage cookie settings. It helps us understand page visits, general device and browser information, downloads, and interactions with the site. Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga. ShuffleCue does not send names, roster attributes, ratings, tasks, group results, contact messages, or other text you enter into the tools to Google Analytics.

Advertising spaces are currently reserved placeholders. Advertising services will not be activated until this policy and the consent controls identify the provider and explain the available choices.

Your choices

You can use the core tools without signing up. Select Reject to use ShuffleCue without Google Analytics, select Accept to allow analytics, or use Manage cookie settings to choose directly. Use Privacy choices in the footer to change your decision later. You can also remove locally saved data at any time.

ShuffleCue is built for facilitators, teachers, and group leaders. Children should not use the Contact form to send personal information without appropriate adult guidance.

Questions or changes

We may update this policy when the site, analytics, advertising, or contact process changes. The updated date at the top will show when the latest version took effect.

For a privacy question, use the Contact page and select Privacy question.
